Meet … Dr. Dale A. Dan, MBA

E-Learning Project Management

Dr. Dale Dan served within the areas of Business, Leadership, Mediation, International Affairs, Diplomacy and Education at both the Corporate and Academic levels including Profit & Non-Profit institutions. Her roles included President, Vice President of Operations, Education & Regional Development and Dean of Academic Affairs. She led global online education and corporate training for some 43 countries which challenged her cultural and diversity skills at zenith levels.

Dr. Dan currently serves as President of The Joy-at-Work Center (JAWC) that equips leaders to create and maintain Joy-at -Work environments through transformational leadership. She has trained some 3,700 leaders within the USA, Caribbean and South America in the area of Joy-at-Work that is the outcome of transformational leadership. The training resulted in high staff retention and motivation for many organizations. She creates an environment that helps teams view work as much more than just a paycheck which inevitably results in high performance along with financial profitability and sustainability. These positive organizational changes ultimately result in joy within the home as well.

Previously, she served as Vice President of Education & Administration for Serenity Projects, Inc. – a company that has been offering quality Technology & Leadership Solutions globally for 22 years as well as Vice President for The Language Institute, Inc. that has offered South American Language Solutions for some 18 years. As one of her major projects, she also launched the South American location of a multi-billion dollar global BPO (Call Center) company that ranks at the top in Telecommunications worldwide with its spread in 75 countries and 62 languages. During this project she maintained one of the lowest attrition rates in the world with perfect auditing results and was honored as ‘The Premier’ organization in that country through her Joy-at-Work Model that transformed lives within the workplace.

Dr. Dan led operations for corporations with high staffing and budgetary responsibilities. She is also known for unusually high retention among staff and students. She is a strategic leader and visionary with a special gift for selecting just the right team for success. Dr. Dan has overseen Funding and Grant Projects for 8 years in the pursuance of transformational leadership education and international projects. She markets and networks in ways that are so relational that she engages and wins support easily.

She has led Human Resource (HR) and Human Resource Development (HRD) projects globally. She does not believe in ad hoc training efforts. For her, HRD is a turnkey training process that must involve careful pre-training, training, learning and application stages in order to yield high quality performance results. She has the unique skill of targeting specific job-related training, which inevitably increases job performance and the company’s overall competitiveness. Her strength in HRD lies in her belief that human capital is a company’s greatest asset – the technology, buildings, stocks and bonds are driven and maintained by people. Dr. Dan provides systems that result in consistent HR processes and procedures across the board. She also developed internet- and intranet-based programs that provided quality resources to leaders and staff worldwide.

At the educational level, her projects included the building and maintenance of global online universities at both the academic and corporate levels. She is known by many as the Guru of Online Education. Due to her deep care for learning and development, she created an Online Relational Model that is unmatched and resulted in her surpassing retention rates within the education industry. Her online campuses have been rated among the top 2% by USA regional accreditation experts. Her online education experience spans industries such as education, global relocations, corporate, government, church, geriatrics & gerontology, culinary, health, languages, pharmaceuticals, the sciences, music & the arts, computer technology and others. She dared to go with online education where many hesitated. Dr. Dan also served as the Dean of Online Academic Affairs for a SACSCOC-Regionally Accredited Educational Institution with 11 branches. She has moved many schools from as low as 6-12 enrollments to 450-5,000 with retention rates of 94-100% (SACSCOC is the highest level of regional accreditation within the United States). She has a special love for mentoring which is more of a holistic view of teaching and facilitation – it is about caring for the whole person.

Dr. Dan is certified jointly by the University of Connecticut and the Mediation Training Institute in the area of Corporate Mediation using first- and third-party mediation solutions. She was also certified by the United States Supreme Court in the area of Court Mediation. Dr. Dan’s doctoral studies are in the areas of Education, Organizational Leadership and Human Resource Development. She pursued Master’s Degree studies in Business & Public Administration. She was outstanding in her academic pursuits and earned her Diploma of Excellence in European & Hispanic Studies. She also received the Blue Ribbon Award for being the most Outstanding American Graduate in Hispanic and European Studies and the Mayor’s Award (Columbus, Ohio) for Service. She graduated from the Venezuelan Bilingual Institute with Highest Honors. Dr. Dan received numerous awards for Best Orator, Outstanding Student and for Loyalty and Service. She is a member of the National Dean’s Honor Society and the Sigma Delta Beta Chapter for quality business professionals. She has been honored as an Outstanding Woman of Technology for America.

On a personal level, Dr. Dan enjoys walking (especially on the beach), music, reading, writing and simply … being a friend just listening and sharing transparently. She has a heart for the elderly, the blind and deaf communities and enjoys supporting brilliant, but disadvantaged kids, so that they, in turn, can improve their family’s standard of living.

She embraces a work ethics of Let my watchword forever be Excellence. Dr. Dan has excelled in the many tasks set before her and looks forward to continuing her motto of Excellence wherever she goes. She also does her best to please God and others through a marriage of quality service and sincere relationship.
